It’s time to share the FREE and CHEAP weekend activities for July! These fun family activities are either FREE or super cheap…and they are at the stores that we all know and love 🙂

Saturday, July 2, at 11 a.m. – Hello, My Name Is Octicorn Storytime
Octicorn is the funny, sweet and disarming character who is a champion for anyone who has ever felt a little bit different. And isn’t that everyone? Activities to follow.
Saturday, July 9, at 11 a.m. – Daisy-Head Mayzie Storytime
When a daisy suddenly sprouts from the top of Mayzie McGrew’s head, she is faced with her classmates’ taunts and her parents’ dismay, and a publicity agent’s greed. How Mayzie learns that love is more important than fame and fortune makes an endearing morality tale for our time. This event is vintage Seuss! Activities round out the fun.
Saturday, July 16, at 11 a.m. – Are We There Yet? Storytime
Every parent has heard this classic question on a long car ride! After reading this inventive new book (that even turns upside down for several pages!), you’ll never look at being bored the same way again. Join us for this fun-filled Storytime with activities to follow.
Saturday, July 23, at 11 a.m. Too Many Moose Storytime
When Martha gets an unusual pet, she’s delighted by all of the fun things they do together. If one moose is this marvelous, then more must be better! This madcap moose adventure is followed by activities.

Saturday, July 2nd – 9:00 am – 12:00 pm – Join our hands-on workshop and you and your child can create a cool Ice Age: Collision Course bowling game. Once the game is built, your child can decorate it with stickers of characters in the new Ice Age movie.
*All kid get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last.
Michael’s – It looks like Michael’s did some changes to their Kids Corner. The crafts are $2 per child and it reserves 30 minutes for your creative kid. Sessions starting every half hour from 10:30AM – 11:30AM. You also have to log in and create an account to see each activity.
Now, remember one of the biggest expenses that are incurred while we are “out and about” are eating expenses. So, if you are going to eat out – try to plan on eating out for lunch. Lunch menus are always cheaper than dinner menus.
Make sure you pack snacks – you and the kids! I always have a Balance Bar in my truck for me and a few goodies in my purse for the kiddos.
