It’s time to share the FREE and CHEAP weekend activities for November! These fun family activities are either FREE or super cheap…and they are at the stores that we all know and love 🙂

Tampa Museum of Art – Fun and free art crafts called the “Art Spot” every Saturday from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. – Thanks Janel!

Saturday, October 29, at 11 a.m. – Storytime and Activities Featuring If You Give a Mouse a Brownie
From the bestselling team of Laura Numeroff and Felicia Bond comes the ninth picture book in the blockbuster If You Give … series, one of the most beloved children’s series of all time. With its spare, rhythmic text and circular tale, If You Give a Mouse a Brownie is perfect for Storytime. Activities to follow.
Lowe’s – All events are recommended for ages 5 and up
Saturday December 3rd – 10:00 am Get ready for Christmas with this Christmas ornament making Class. Registration for this event opens on November 21st.
Lakeshore – all events are FREE
Saturday October 29th – 10:00 am Get ready for Halloween by making these cute Spooky Spectacles.
Saturday November 5th – 10:00 am Get ready for the upcoming election by making a Let’s Vote! Badge
Saturday November 12th – 10:00 am Head Up, Up… and Away! by making this fun Balloon
Saturday November 19th – 10:00 am Have the kids help decorate for Thanksgiving by making this Give Thanks! Wreath
Saturday November 26th – 10:00 am Make these adorable Hit The Slopes! Skiers
Saturday, November 5th – 9:00 am – 12:00 pm – Veterans Day Toy Helicopter – Join our hands-on workshop in honor of Veterans Day, and you and your child can build a toy helicopter with turning blades! Once the toy helicopter is built, your child can decorate it with paint & stickers to create a mini-military vehicle.
*All kid get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last.
Saturday, November 26th – 9:00 am – 12:00 pm – Black Friday Picture Frame Ornament – Take a shopping break and join our hands-on workshop where you and your child can build a keepsake for your holiday memories! You’ll work together to create a picture frame ornament, perfect for adding some personalized decoration to your Christmas tree. Once the ornament is built, your child can decorate it with paint & add their own photo of family fun.
Michael’s – It looks like Michael’s did some changes to their Kids Corner. The crafts are $2 per child and it reserves 30 minutes for your creative kid. Sessions starting every half hour from 10:30AM – 11:30AM. You also have to log in and create an account to see each activity.
Now, remember one of the biggest expenses that are incurred while we are “out and about” are eating expenses. So, if you are going to eat out – try to plan on eating out for lunch. Lunch menus are always cheaper than dinner menus.
Make sure you pack snacks – you and the kids! I always have a Balance Bar in my truck for me and a few goodies in my purse for the kiddos.
