Halloween Party Ideas for Kids on Having Fun Saving & Cooking

Frugal Family Halloween Fun

Halloween is quickly approaching so for this week’s Frugal Family Fun post I thought I would share some FUN Halloween party ideas that the whole family is sure to enjoy πŸ™‚

A frugal, yet FUN Halloween party is the perfect way to keep your kids busy before Oct. 31.

Pumpkin Decorating – Grab mini pumpkins and set up a decorating station stocked with glue, glitter, felt, pipe cleaners and other fun supplies. You can also ask parents to bring decorating supplies to further cut costs.

Play a Balloon Game – Fill balloons with inexpensive candy and confetti and pin to a board in the pattern of a pumpkin. Then, have kids throw darts or simply pop balloons with a sewing needle to find out what’s inside. Adult supervision required πŸ˜‰

Play Witch Hat Ring Toss – You can use a large piece of cardboard or foam board as the base, and glue black circle cut-outs to the board. Then, create witch-hat tops out of black poster board and use pool-diving rings as the tossers. You can even give out dollar store toys as prizes.

Create Mystery Bowls– Fill bowls with all sorts of FUN slimy things – like cold pasta, peeled grapes, apple slices, gummy worms, and even pudding! Blindfold kiddos and have them stick their hands into the Mystery bowl and then have them describe what they feel.

Cupcake Decorating – Who doesn’t love festive cupcakes?! Pre-make cupcakes and have the kids decorate them with sprinkles, candy corn and any other fun Halloween ideas.
